Chilli beef burritos

Chilli beef burritos.Rich chilli beef, on a bed of cool crisp lettuce and juicy tomato, topped with melted cheese and Old El Paso Thick ‘n’ Chunky Salsa, all snugly wrapped up in a soft warm flour tortilla.

15 minutes.Mild.Serves 4.

Ingredients

1 x Old El Paso Chilli & Bean Burritos Dinner Kit
500g minced beef
1x lettuce
2 x tomatoes
125g cheese
Oil

Kit Includes: 8 x Old El Paso Soft Flour Tortillas, 1 x Old El Paso Burrito Spice Mix, 1 x Old El Paso Mild Original Salsa

Instructions

1. Brown the mince in a little oil on a medium heat, then drain off the excess liquid.

2. Add the Old El Paso Spice Mix for Burritos and pour in 225ml of warm water.

3. Simmer uncovered and stir occasionally for 15-20 minutes until you’ve got a rich tasty sauce.

4. To warm the Old El Paso Soft Flour Tortillas pierce the packaging and microwave on full power for 35-40 seconds (cooking time may vary depending on microwave) or heat them in the oven, following the pack instructions. Keep them covered and warm until ready to serve.

Make it your way

Make a bed of lettuce and tomato in the centre of an Old El Paso Soft Flour Tortilla, load a couple of spoonfuls of the hot chilli filling, then top with the grated cheese and Old El Paso Mild Original Salsa.  Wrap the Old El Paso Soft Flour Tortilla round the filling, tucking in one end for a snug burrito!

Go veggie by replacing the beef with stir-fried veg and pinto or kidney beans.
