Family
Whether it’s a birthday, a celebration or just livening up a quiet weekend - here’s our step-by-step guide to creating a fun-filled Mexican family meal!
Set the soundtrack
From toddlers to grandmas, no one will be able to resist the Latin rhythm of these three tracks - just don’t let dad dance! These are just a few of our suggestions – we hope you like them...
- La Batidora Meneadora by Latin Giants of Jazz
- Fun, upbeat, lively and full of beans!
- O Telefone Tocou Novamente by O Povo Canta
- Background music, easy listening
- Livin’ La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin
- Well known, fun, up a tad cheesy but we love it!
Plan a party game: Balloon burst
Here’s a great idea for a game to play with your families - all you need are balloons… and a good sense of humour!
Number of players? You’ll need at least 2, but as many of the family as you can rope in!
Who can play? Anyone who doesn’t mind getting a bit wet...
What’s needed? Water-filled balloons (one per pair of players) and a good sense of humour!
What’s the gist?
1. First get into pairs and stand face-to-face about 2ft away from each other.
2. Player 1 then throws the water-filled balloon to Player 2.
3. If they manage to catch it without it bursting, then Player 1 takes a step back and the game begins again.
4. The object of the game is simple - if you don’t want to get wet don’t burst the balloon!
Who wins? The last (dry) pair standing!
Now invite your friends!
Don’t wait for a reason to get together - just do it!
